We wish to inform you that the Parents Notify process is now open for parents and guardians seeking a Letter of Eligibility for a Special Class or Special School placement for the 2027/2028 school year.
The Parents Notify process is intended for parents and guardians who are seeking a new Special Class or Special School placement for their child for September 2027. Further information is available in the video transcript linked below: Parents-Notify-Video-Script-for-Website.pdf
Parents and guardians are required to complete the online Parents Notify form by 1st September 2026. Professional reports and supporting documentation should be submitted by 15th September 2026, or as soon as is reasonably practical thereafter. If a parent or guardian is unable to upload reports while completing the form, they can contact their local SENO for support.
Where parents/guardians are awaiting documentation or reports they should not delay contacting the NCSE via the Parents Notify portal by 1st September 2026. As above, documentation can be supplied as soon as practicable after initial notification has been made to the NCSE.
Please note that the Parents Notify process must be completed by all parents/guardians seeking a Letter of Eligibility for the 2027/2028 school year, including those who may have previously contacted the NCSE regarding a Letter of Eligibility for previous years or for 2027/2028, as per the Parents Notification Process for special education places for September 2027 0063/2026.
